Living Greener means reducing our impact on the environment. Recycling, walking or biking instead of driving and buying local are great ways to reduce our impact.

Living Greener

One way to live greener is by 'greening up' your cleaning supplies! You don’t need harsh chemicals to clean your home. Great cleaners can be found right in your kitchen! Get extra ‘green’ by using cloths instead of paper towel. (Microfiber is great for cleaning!) And remember- ALWAYS test on an inconspicuous spot before using!

Vinegar can be used as an all purpose cleaner and disinfectants for most surfaces (don’t use it on marble or grout). Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle, spray and wipe! Easy!

Need a little deeper cleaning? Try baking soda. It’s a natural abrasive cleaner- always test on an inconspicuous spot.

I was introduced to Shaklee when I married David and this is what we use to keep our house clean. Shaklee is all natural, nontoxic and biodegradable. I love it because it doesn’t make my skin breakout like most cleaning products. The products come super concentrated, so you have to mix the required amount with water in a spray bottle- and the concentrate lasts a LONG time. One of my favorite products is the Scour Off Heavy Duty Paste. It’s awesome at getting soap scum off the tub and sink! (We are distributor number CB82413 if you choose to order Shaklee!)
